Experience in designing and implementing industrial and domestic wastewater treatment plants, including sewage sludge treatment. Additional interest for the sustainable management of wastewater counting the safe use of treated wastewater and its by-products.

• Dredged sediment management

Research on the potentials to employ dredged sediments in beneficial uses. Particular experience in the chemical extraction and speciation of metals from dredged sediments. Additional interest on the use of dredged sediments as a soil conditioner.

• Circular economy

Experience in the valorization of materials such as sewage sludge and dredged sediments. Especial interest in the recovery of valuable compounds that contribute to implementing circular economies and avoids the depletion of natural resources.
