Hubgrade Wastewater Plant Performance provides automated real-time performance optimization, including with respect to:

Hubgrade Wastewater Plant Performance is a digital twin that provides automated real-time performance optimization and capacity enhancement of its physical counterparts, which may be wastewater treatment plants and/or sewer networks.

The tool has been applied to a lot of utilities for industrial and municipal wastewater treatment and in the PDF we share the results pertaining to some of these cases. Climate change is real and efficiency of wastewater treatment can improve the overall operations of the plant giving them timely alerts. With Hubgrade, it becomes easy to detect faulty sensors, process dynamics anomalies, prepare the plant before the rain and reduce sludge escapes into the river or adjoining water bodies. With the above Hubgrade significantly reduces the carbon footprint of the treatment plant. In line with the Article 21 of EU wastewater directives - helps with the monitoring of greenhouse gases such as N2O and mitigation is also possible. Needless to say that Hubgrade aids in compliance making N removal and P removal more efficient.

Components installed in the solution

Hubgrade Plant Performance:

  • Software with Multiple optimization levels and automatic switch. It is an add on to the existing PLC / Scada and provides with real time optimizing every two minutes.
  • Model-Predicted and equalized values are used to compensate for time delay and variations in sensors, equipment and process.
  • A user interface with easy access from a browser on the local network - and remote (smartphone, tablet, or laptop), according to user access rights, fully managed by the Customer.

Operational mode

Use of AI (Model predictive control) since 2019. The overall tool has been available since 1993 with 150+ installed bases.
